Devilish Wallet
in Deerskin No 3The 5-pocket leather billfold.
A limited edition of 6 bark tanned deerskin wallets lined with Meiji period (late 19th - early 20th c.) Japanese cotton. Each handmade wallet is individually hand sewn with Irish linen thread using the traditional saddle stitch method. The 6 wallets are hand cut from a single, super soft, hunter-harvested deerskin naturally tanned in Texas using tree bark. The cloth linings are antique Japanese shibori (or "tie-dyed") textiles - hand loomed and hand dyed with natural indigo. 3 of the wallets use a white cotton with a "blue drop" dye pattern, and 3 wallets use a "white starburst" textile on a dark indigo field. Each wallet is individually signed and numbered (of 3). Edged with beeswax. Wallet dimensions: 115 mm x 90 mm. (4.5 in x 3.5 in).
Leather tanned in Indiana. Cut and sewn in Texas.
Despite the age of the textiles, they are as strong as their modern equivalent and this wallet is sturdy enough to be your every day carry.
