Horween shell cordovan is made from the subcutaneous layer of the hindquarters of the horse and is praised for both its softness and durability. As shell cordovan is a hot stuffed leather, it will never need oil or wax as normal use keeps it conditioned over time. It also patinas beautifully, retaining its shape yet conforming to the user's unique wear habits.
